World Changing Faith Part 3 Transcript

Praise the Lord, friends. Today, we’re talking about world changing faith, and I’m gonna show you how faith in God can change your world. But you know what? Faith in God will not change your world until it changes your words. So you open your heart, receive the good word of God today, and you can see how you can move into world-changing faith. So good to have you, friends. We are sharing today on how faith is released. We’re talking about world-changing faith. Thank God faith in God will change your world. I am so glad that as a young man, at 14 years old, I began to go to Andrew Wommack’s meetings. Do you know back then Andrew just had six Bible studies in Southeast Colorado at Southwest Kansas? He had six Bible studies Monday to Saturday night. They all started at 7:00, I believe it was. And did you know what? We would go, and we would sit in these house meetings and hear the word of God taught. I remember the first time that I went. I thought, “Thank God. I don’t have to be poor. I don’t have to be sick. I don’t have to be defeated by the devil. I can believe God. There is a Bible full of promises, and I can believe them.” And you know I started believing. I’d been raised in church. I was saved, but d’you know what? Nobody had taught me that these promises were mine, and that I could believe God and see these promises come to pass in my life. And that was, you know, over 40 years ago, 44 years ago. My goodness! Hallelujah. Actually, it’s a lot longer than that. That was, you know, 40. Yeah, 46, hallelujah, 40. Yeah, 44 years ago that I first heard the full gospel preached, and it changed my life. And I started believing those things. And did you know what? My life got better and better and better. And did you know, my life keeps getting better. It’s not like I haven’t faced any problems. I’ve had plenty of challenges, but you know what? I am believing the promises of God, for healing, for health, for provision, for peace, for freedom. And we are walking in that that God promised. I’m so glad that the word of God is true. Did you know the Bible says, “If God be for you, who can be against you?” Romans 8:31-32. It goes on to say, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all.” If God would give you Jesus, why wouldn’t He heal your body? If God would give you Jesus, why wouldn’t He forgive your sin? If God would give you Jesus, why wouldn’t He give you freedom? If God would give you Jesus, why wouldn’t He prosper you? He says, “If God be for us, who can against us? He that spared not his own Son,” God did not spare Jesus, but he sent him to the cross for us. “But He delivered Him up for us all. How shall He, the Father, not with Him, the Son Jesus, freely give us all things?” That means if God’ll give you Jesus, God would give you anything. And so did you know what, I’m talking about anything good. I’m talking about anything in the promise to you in the Word of God, hallelujah. So praise God. We can believe the promises of God and we can receive the promises of God. There’s so many people that don’t believe that. They don’t believe much of nothing, but you know what? If you’ll start believing the word of God, it will change your life. And here’s how faith is released. We began yesterday’s broadcast talking about this. In Hebrews 11, the great faith hall of fame, verse three, it says, “Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are made were not made of things which do appear.” Things, which are seen. God took words and He spoke matter into existence. Hallelujah. And you, by your words, you can, you’re made in the image of God. Do you know, the Bible says, we read about this yesterday in Romans 4:17, that God calls those things that be not as though they were. In other words, God sees what He wants and calls it into existence. Just like He created heaven and earth in Genesis 1. Now when you find out what God wants your world to be, you can begin to agree with God, begin to speak the word and begin to see what God promised you come to pass. Now, how does this work? Well, we said death or life. It’s our choice. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat the fruit thereof,” Proverbs 18:21. We said in James 3:5-6 that our tongue sets on fire the course of nature. Your tongue can change the entire destination, the entire course of nature. Hallelujah. So you need to watch your words. You need to guard your words and speak words of life. Speak words of love. Speak words of health. Speak words of blessing. Speak words of faith. Speak words of peace. Speak words of prosperity. Thank God. Speak words that agree with what God says. Now we were sharing yesterday on how the word of God has power in our mouth. We read Joshua 1:8 where it says, “This word of God shall not depart out of your mouth, but you show meditate therein both day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein for then you will make your way prosperous and you will have good success.” You say Pastor Lawson, show me an example of that. Well, I’m gonna show you a couple. I’m gonna show you a couple Old Testament ones, but we can see lots of them in the life at Jesus. Jesus spoke words and they changed the course of people’s lives. Hallelujah. And so in 2 Kings 4, there was a Shunammite woman who built a little room on her house for the prophet Elisha when he would come through town and then she put a bed in there and she put a lamp in there and a table in there. Whenever he would come to town, he would stay in that little room. It was like his little hotel off this woman’s house. And you know, it came to pass after a certain period of time, he called his servant and said, “What if what’s been done for this woman, servant?” Well, we haven’t done anything. And he said, “Well, what would she really want?” The servant said, “Well, she doesn’t have a child. She would really like to have a child.” And so he said, “Well, call her.” 2 Kings 4:15, “And he called her and she came and stood in the door.” And he said in verse 16, “About this season, according to the time of life, about nine months, you will embrace a sign.” She said, “No, my Lord, man of God do not lie to your handmade.” And she conceived and beared a son at the season Elisha had said unto her according to the time of life. And when the child was grown, on a certain day he went out with his father and he was reaping and were harvesting. When he was grown, he fell in the field and he said, “My father, my head, my head.” And, so he told one of the servants carry him to his mother. And when he had taken him, he brought her to his mother and he sat her on his knees till noon. He sat on his knee and then he died. And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God and shut the door on him and went out and she went to find Elisha. Now she called to her husband in verse 22 and said, “I pray you send one of the young men and one of the donkeys that I may run to the man of God and come again.” And he said, “Why are you going to him on this day? Is it neither new moon? It’s not Sabbath.” She said, “It shall be well.” In other words, she began to say before she saw, and if you wanna change what you see, you’ve gotta change what you say. And you’ve gotta say it before you see it. Then she saddled an ass, the donkey, and said to the servant, “Drive and go forward. Slack not your riding except for me. I bid you.” And you know, he’s, you know, driving. And this place, she was going to Carmel from where she was, was about 15 miles. Now even a fast donkey’d probably take an hour to get there. So here she was. She gets there about an hour later and she went and came to the man of God at Carmel. And it came to pass when the man of God saw her far off, said to Gehazi, his servant, Elisha said to Gehazi, “Behold ,yonder is that Shunammite.” Here comes that woman we stay with over there. And he said, “Run now and I pray to meet her and say to her, “Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?” And she answered, “It is well.” Now I want you to notice this, in verse 26, I’m in the King James version of 2 Kings 4, in verse 21 or 22, before she went, she told the father of the child, in actually verse 23, she said, “It shall be well. It shall be well.” It’s gonna be good. But then by the time she’s processed this, now I can see this Shunnamite riding on this donkey and going hard to get to the man of God. It’s about a hour’s donkey ride. And I can see her going hard. And I can see her saying, “It shall be well. It shall be well. It shall be well. My son shall be healed. My son shall be raised again. My son shall receive life.” And then somewhere along that line, in that 60 minute donkey ride, right? She says, “It is well. It is well. It is well. Hallelujah.” You see she changed from hope, it shall be, to faith, it is well. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. So she had hope, right? It shall be well. But while she began to speak that word, it shall be well, my son shall be raised. He shall be healed. He shall be whole. As she began to speak that, it changed to it is well. Hallelujah. And she spoke that word of God out of her mouth and things changed in that situation. So when she came to the man of God on the hill, she caught him by the feet and Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, “Let her alone for soul has vexed within her. And the Lord’s hid it from me and not told it.” And then she began to say, “Did not I desire a son of you? Did you deceive me?” And so he told Gehazi, a servant, “Guard up the loins and take my staff in your hand and go in the way. If you see any man, salute him if he salutes you, otherwise do not answer him and lay my staff on the face of the child.” So Gehazi runs on ahead of the prophet of God, of Elisha, and when he gets to the house and gets to the room, goes in where the prophet lays and hears the son that God gave her miraculously laying on the bed dead. He lays the staff on him, but nothing happens. But then the mother, you know, this Shunnamite woman, she won’t leave the prophet till he comes. She said, “I will not leave you so he arose and followed her.” Then when he got there, he went to the house. It says in verse 32, “Elisha was coming to the house. Behold, the child was dead and laid on his bed. And he went there and shut the door and prayed to the Lord. He began to call on the Lord and he went up and lay on the child, put his mouth on the child’s mouth, and his eyes on his eyes, his hands on his hands, and stretched forth on the child until the child waxed warm. Then he returned and walked in.” See, he walked around the house. And it says, “To and fro, went up and stretched himself. And, and he called on Gehazi and he did this seven times.” Finally, this seventh time, it says, “The child opened his eyes.” And so then Elisha called Gehazi and said, “Call the Shunnamite. When she was come, she said, take up your son. She went in and fell at his feet and bow herself to the ground and took up her son and went out.” Now I wanted you to see this because she started out saying, “It shall be well,” but as she was meditating, she was praying, “He shall be well. He shall be healed. He shall be well. He shall be raised.” It changed to “It shall be well” to “It is well.” Hallelujah. And she got to the prophet. He said, “How is it?” “It’s well.” Why? Now, son, you know, God gave me miraculously by your prophetic word. He’s laying at home on your bed. He’s not breathing right now, but it’s well, hallelujah. And so the prophet sent Gehazi on ahead. And then he went because she said, “Hey, I ain’t leaving without you.” When he gets there, the boy’s completely dead. He lays on and prays for him seven times and walks through the house. Lays on and prays for him. Does this seven times. And finally, the seventh time, he’s raised from the dead. Now I’ll be back right after this short break. And I’m gonna be sharing more examples of believing and speaking the word of God and how you can turn your situation from darkness to light, from death to life, from sickness to healing, from poverty to prosperity, amen, from sin to righteousness by speaking God’s word. Friends this week we’ve been sharing on faith in God will change your world. And I am so happy to be sharing with you this faith package. I have this book from my good friends, Mark Hankins, Mark and Trina Hankins, on the spirit of faith. We have “World Changing Faith,” one of my best series. We have “Four Keys to Faith.” And then finally we have “Have Faith and Doubt Not.” These are some of my very, very best teachings on the realm of faith. And if you begin to understand faith, I believe it will literally change your life. It’s changed mine. Praise God. It’s changed my financial position. It’s changed my spiritual condition. It’s changed my physical condition and it’s all good. God wants to do good things in your life. And He does it through grace and faith. So if you want to get this teaching, just give us a call today or check us out online. Thanks so much. In blessings. Praise the Lord, friends. We’ve been talking about how faith is released and one way faith is released is through the spoken word of God. And you know what causes you to speak the Word of God is when you change the picture on the inside of you. And I said you change the picture on the inside of you by believing, right? And meditating the Word of God, speaking. You start Meditating the Word of God, believing the Word of God, speaking the Word of God And it changes the picture. All of a sudden, you can’t continue to remain in your poor thinking, in your sick thinking, in your sinful thinking, when you meditate the Word, believe the Word. You’re gonna begin to speak the Word of God. You see the Bible says, “I believe and therefore I’ve spoken.” If you really believe the Word, you’re gonna speak. That’s in Psalm 116:10 and David’s going through a great challenge and what he does in a great challenge is he believes God. And as he believes God, he begins to speak just like when he got up facing Goliath, right? And it looked like, man, this is insurmountable odds. Goliath, literally laughing at David saying, “Who do you think I am? You’re just a pretty kid.” And Saul said, “Listen, Goliath is a man of war from his youth.” And David said, “Let me at him. Let me at him.” Hallelujah for that. He’s not gonna be able to stand. This uncircumcised Philistine, he’s not a covenant man. Praise God. David understood the difference in the covenant and not having a covenant. And David was anointed by God to deliver Israel. And when you’re anointed by God and you understand the covenant, you can begin to move into the promises of God, move into the power of God, move into the blessing of God, move into the goodness of God by faith in God. Hallelujah. So as you look at this, it begins to change your life. Now I told you I’d give you another example. And this is in Joshua 10. I wanna turn over there and read this. This is an amazing example. There’s never been another example before it, or after it like this, but Joshua is out fighting a battle. And as he’s fighting a battle, moving into the promised land, moving into the land that God gave them, you know, they’re fighting some enemies and it looks like the enemies are gonna win. And Israel actually is getting, you know, they begin to get the victory. The battle turns and they move into this and the Lord is working with them, but it looks like the sun’s gonna go down and some of these enemies are gonna escape. And in verse 12 of Joshua 10, “Then spoke Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel. And he said in the sight of Israel, “Son, stand still on Gibeon, and moon in the valley of Aijalon.” In other words, the moon had already, you know, was already coming up. The sun’s. And Joshua said I wanna finish this battle. Praise God, I don’t want these enemies getting away. And it says, “And the sun stood still. And the moon stayed until the people avenged themselves upon their enemies. Isn’t this written in the book of Jashar? So the sun stood still in heaven and hasted not to go down a whole day and there was no day like it before or after it that the Lord harkened to the voice of a man for the Lord fought for Israel.” Did you know God’s on your side? And you know, you may be fighting a great battle, but when you begin to believe and speak God’s word, I believe God will get involved in your situation, and God will turn your situation around. Amen. I believe in God of breakthrough. I believe God can turn your situation around. I, you know what? I believe nothing is impossible with God. All things are possible to Him, believe so. You know what? We need to keep believing God. We need to keep believing the promises of God. And just like, you know, this Shunnamite woman got her son raised up by speaking the word and speaking faith. And just like Joshua won the victory for Israel by speaking words of faith, I believe you can begin to speak words of faith and you could move into your blessing and your promise. You see, years ago, and I said this earlier in the broadcast this week, the word that has spoken to us must be spoken through us. Psalm 116:10 says, “I believed and therefore have I spoken.” That will help you move out of trouble, overcome trouble. You see David was in trouble, but when he believed and spoke the word of God, he overcame. Now, when we read Psalm 116:10, talking about how David overcame trouble, right by believing and speaking the Word. It actually records it in 2 Corinthians 4:13. And it says this, “But we having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed and therefore have I spoken. We also believe and therefore speak.” So if you want the Word to work, you gotta believe it, but not only believe it, you gotta speak it. Now sometimes people think speaking it is to change God. No, God is who He said He is. God always said, “I am your provider,” Genesis 22. “I am your healer,” Exodus 15. “I am your deliverer,” Exodus 17. “I am your sanctification,” Leviticus 20. “I am your peace and your provision,” Judges 6. “I am your righteousness,” Jeremiah 23 and 33. And then finally, “I am the Lord and I am there. I’ll never leave or forsake you,” Ezekiel 48:35. Did you know what that is? That is a progressive revelation of who God is through the Old Testament. I am your provider, Jehovah-jireh. I’m your healer, Jehovah Rapha. I’m your deliverer, your protector, Jehovah-nissi. I’m the Lord who sanctifies you, Jehovah Tsidkenu. I’m the Lord your righteousness. That’s actually Jehovah M’Kaddesh. The Lord your righteousness, Jehovah Tsidkenu, is Jeremiah 23 and Jeremiah 33. And I am Jehovah-shammah, Ezekiel 48:35. I’m the Lord who’s there. It’s a progressive revelation of who God is. So what you need to do is understand who God is, and then begin to speak words. First of all, we have the promise of who God is and the promise of what He’ll do. Then we have the provision of Christ when He died on the cross and rose again, right? If God be for you, who can be against you. He the Spirit, not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all. How shall he the Father, not with the Son freely give us all things? Then finally we have the Epistles where Christ has come to live in us. And we have His righteousness, His sanctification, His peace, His provision, His health and healing, and His presence living on the inside of us. When you begin to understand that, did you know what? You begin to talk differently. So we begin to believe and speak the Word of God. Now, a good example of this is found in Hebrews 11:13, talking about Abraham. When we look at Hebrews 11:13, it says this in Hebrews 11:13 of all these Old Testament saints, “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but had seen them.” First of all, you gotta see it, right? “And they were persuaded of them and they embrace them and they confessed.” So if you see it, you get persuaded of it. You embrace the promise. You begin to confess what God says about you. They confess their strangers and promises and strangers and pilgrims on the earth “For they that say such things declare plainly that they declare that they desire a country. They seek a country.” Now we’re looking for what? Abraham was looking for a city whose builder and maker was God. We’re looking for a city. We’re looking for heaven. Amen. We’re citizens of heaven actually, the Bible says in Philippians 3:20-21. I believe that we are the citizens of heaven on loan to earth from God. And so we’re looking for that heavenly kingdom, and we’re gonna go there one day when Jesus comes again. Or did you know what, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. If we die, our spirit and soul will go be with God immediately, but faith will get you there. Amen. It takes faith. You’re you’re not gonna get anywhere in God’s kingdom without using your faith. So if you’re gonna see it on the outside, you gotta see it on the inside before you see it on the outside. Now faith is released. Death or life is in the power of the tongue. It’s our choice. The Word of God has power in your mouth. You see you’re created in the image of God. Just like the Word has power in God’s mouth, the Word has power in your mouth. The Word spoken to us or revealed to us must be spoken through us. And then finally faith is released through the spoken Word. If we go to Mark 11 and in Mark chapter 11:22 it says, “Have faith in God.” Verse 23 goes on to say, “For verily I say unto you, whosoever shall say ‘Be thou removed and be thou cast in the sea and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he sayeth shall come to pass shall have whatsoever he sayeth. Whosoever can have whatsoever.’ How do you do it? By believing and speaking the word of God.” Now notice in verse three, Jesus, this is His discourse on faith. He says, “Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall say unto this mountain,” means to say in a systematic set for discourse, right? “Be thou removed. Be thou cast to the sea. Shall not doubt his heart but shall believe those things which he sayeth.” This is that word, sayeth, means lego, to lay forth words in a systematic set discord, just like you’re laying courses of brick, you lay forth words and you build what course upon course. So as you keep believing and speaking the word of God, positive things are happening in the realm of faith. He says, “Shall come to pass. Shall have whatsoever he sayeth.” So if you wanna speak things, you gotta call and command them in the name of Jesus. Speak them out. Show them. You call forth. You name what you want. You name what God says. Praise God. And you can begin to see what God says. Did you know, this is how we get saved? In Romans 10, the Word says this in verses 8-10, listen to this really closely. “The Word is near you even in your heart and in your mouth that is the word of faith that we preach that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised you from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.” You see Jesus already made right standing with God, righteousness, available in his death and resurrection when He died in rose again. When you believe that, when you believe that Jesus died for your sins and God raised Him from the dead, and you say with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord.” He says, for whoever will confess with his mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in his heart God raised him from the dead, he shall be saved. For with the heart, man believes unto righteousness. You believe into what God’s provided and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Just say this with me. Say Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus Christ is your son. I believe that He died for my sins. I believe that you raised Him from the dead and made Him Lord. And Jesus is Lord. If you believe that from your heart, you’re a new creation. If you need prayer today or want product or want a partner, give us a call. Blessings.
