Missions Ministry And Miracles – Part 4 Lawson Perdue and Mario Venzor

  Welcome friends of the broadcast. I’m so glad that you’ve tuned in today. I have my good friend Mario Venzor with me. We’ve been talking about miracles, missions, ministry. We’ve been talking about all these amazing things this week, and you don’t wanna miss this broadcast. Some of you are going to get healed today while you’re watching the broadcast.   Friends, it’s so good to have you here. It’s great to have Mario Venzor with me today. Mario has a ministry, goes around the world. We are in 2 Corinthians 5, and we’ve talked about a number of things we’ve been talking about. Jesus called every believer to be a minister. The gospel is the good news, and we’re all supposed to share the good news that God’s not mad at you, that God loves you. Says that right here in 2 Corinthians 5. He made everything new, that’s talking about our spiritual condition. Then we went on and talked about how God has given us authority as believers, and we don’t have to just accept everything that comes along. And then we talked about we also have the power of the Holy Spirit to minister the good things. And that’s a promise to every believer. The Holy Spirit, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the personal prayer language with the evidence of speaking in other tongues is not just for a few. That prayer language is for every believer, amen. Jesus or Peter said in Acts 2:37-39 right in there, repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus for the remission of sin. And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for this promise, the promise of the Holy Spirit is to you and to your children, and to as many as are far off. Even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Hallelujah, and He called everyone at the cross. Glory to God. Go ahead.

 

  I love praying in tongues. It just brings so much refreshment, so much direction to your spirit and enlightenment to your mind. And the Holy Spirit just stirs you up. It strengthens you, builds you up in your most holy faith. Keep yourself in the love of God. Expecting the mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that. I remember you saying that you tell your children, pray at least half an hour a day in tongues, and you will see the development, of course, of course, the power, it is just like encouraging you, building you up and telling you you don’t have to be caught unaware of people with deceiving schemes or the devil trying to harass you. No, no, no, no. He’ll remind you. He gives you the right words and the boldness to speak. And it is just awesome being full of the Holy Spirit. And remember, the people that receive the Holy Spirit being baptized in the Holy Spirit is just like, He doesn’t come only with one gift. He comes, it is like a string of pearls. You don’t give your wife just one pearl, you give her a string. So when the Holy Spirit comes on the inside of you, He comes with these resources, He advocates you, His function is to defend you against the attacks of the enemy. Empower you, guide you, help you to pray, assist you to do things that are impossible. In the natural realm, He helps you to walk in the supernatural. And so I love the Holy Spirit. I love it because He shows you things to come. I have had things that happen, and even before I get there, I know how those things are going to end up being like. And like you were saying, like I remember when the Holy Spirit told me one night before my dad passed away, my dad got healed of this incurable aneurysm, and I was praying for him. So I went to Kansas City and the doctor says I cannot operate on him because he says “If I operate on him, 95%, he’s gonna be a vegetable.” And I say, no no no no, I’m gonna take him home. So I took him from Wichita, Kansas to Garden City, and we pray, my wife and I. And the way I was telling the Lord, Lord, I cannot let my dad go like this. I cannot have a memory of him being like that, a vegetable. I say, I’m expecting you Lord to do something for my dad. And so we pray in tongues, and towards the end of praying for Him in tongues, a song came to me. And that song, you’re a very good Father, remember that song? So we sang it and sang it and sang it over him. Remember the Bible says “With songs of deliverance, He’ll surround you.” So he delivered my dad from that aneurysm. On Thanksgiving day he called me and he said “Son, I’m at my house now. The aneurysm, they couldn’t find it.” Where did it go? I don’t care, but it went. So anyway, praise the Lord. And then I say to my dad, but I told my dad, “Dad, there is no way.” You don’t wanna go out there with sickness and disease. Just go whenever you’re ready. Just tell the Lord, “Here I am Lord, I need to go.” Because he was missing my mom. So anyway, faith comes by hearing and I was telling him testimonies of Brother Hagen, of Theo Osborne, how they left. And so he says, yeah yeah. And I talked to him, all these testimonies. So one night before he passed away, I told my dad, “You just should take a nap and just go with the Lord, go with my mom.” And one night before he died, I had a dream, pastor. And in that dream, my dad and I were walking on top of a very high building. And the wind was blowing so hard, it was trying to knock me off. And I seen my dad, my dad was a big man, 6’3 and always, worked in the farm. So he worked around horses, that kind of reminds me of how the good horse ends that people had. And so anyway, I say to my dad, “Dad, please help me.” And he said “Son, I cannot help you anymore.” He says “But look, he comes to help.” And there is the Lord Jesus walking towards me. And he grabbed me by my hand and he says “I help you, I help you.” So next day I woke up and I said “I wonder what that dream means.” And at 3:00, my brother-in-law called me and he said, “You know what happened? Your dad, you know how he takes a nap? He took a nap and he went to be home with the Lord.” It was the anniversary, the 54th anniversary of their marriage. My mom already gone to the Lord, because the Lord makes all things beautiful. And He helps you. The Holy Spirit helps you. He prepares your heart, He comforts you, He strengthens you. He shows you things to come. He says, “All men shall have dreams.” I don’t know whether I’m old or I’m an elder in this church. Whatever it is, I’ll take it. But I’ll take those dreams from the Holy Ghost.

 

  Amen. Thank God. Amen. Dreams, visions. Dr. Lester Sumrall, he had a vision. He was about 79 years old. And I could figure out the math, but I was with him in November 1987 in Jerusalem, and he had a dream of a river of blood. And out of this river of blood, he saw a tree. And this tree was growing. And he said, “I’m gonna take food to the hungry people, to the third world countries, and we’re gonna preach the gospel to them.” And he talked about, “I’m gonna buy a military C 130 and we’re gonna fly food and I’m gonna buy a big ship.” And he did, he named it Louisa, the name of his wife. It would hold about 500 semi-loads. We used to put semi-loads of wheat, have them ground into flour, ship them to McPherson, Kansas, have them ground into flour, put into 20 pound sacks, ship them to the Gulf and put them on that ship and send them around to third world countries. And they would be handed out through Dr. Sumrall’s people through pastors, and they would preach the gospel. And many, many people were saved and healed. When he got that vision, he came back to the United States and he told the US government, “I wanna buy a military C130.” They said there’s never been a civilian organization own a military C130, and there never will. You know what he did? He went to the South Bend Airport in South Bend, Indiana. He bought a piece of ground to build a hangar. I mean a C130’s big. I mean, they put tanks in them, hundreds of troops. I mean, it’s amazing. And he built a hangar for a military C130. And you know what, he got a permit and they gave him one. And during the Kuwait problem over there, or the problem with the Kurds, he went over and they flew, he worked with different ministries from Europe. He filled that thing with food in gospel tracks. And he flew it over every day, and they carry this thing full of food and gospel tracks. And they dropped them to these Kurdish people, and it saved them, it saved them. Praise God, and you know what, there is a great revival right now that’s going on in the Middle East, and a lot of it is because of the gospel that has been shared. We support a ministry out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, World Compassion, Jason Law, his dad founded it, Dr. Terry Law, we supported and gave thousands of dollars for Terry to take Bibles into Iran. There are so many people getting saved in Iran today. And we’re still supporting Jason and his work there, but they’re coming to Christ. Islam is actually shrinking in Iran, and the church is exploding in the power of the Holy Spirit and the power of God. And listen, great things are happening around the world. God said in the last days, He would pour out of his spirit on all flesh. And we’re seeing these things, dreams, Dr. Sumrall had a vision, he said “Maybe I’m not old yet because God keeps giving me visions and dreams.” But thank God, God gives us things by the Holy Spirit, and we can go in the power of the Holy Spirit. That’s just one aspect of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. I love this verse you started with in Jude 20:21, building up your most holy faith praying in the Holy Ghost. And keep yourselves in the love of God. It’s the Holy Spirit that gives us a revelation of the love of God, and so you know what? Thank God for this promise of the Holy Spirit that helps us. You know what? We couldn’t minister, we couldn’t work miracles. That’s not in our power, but that’s the power of the Holy Spirit working through us. So we’re gonna come back and we’re gonna share more, praise God and the Holy Spirit and what He does in our life, and how he helps us to minister the gospel of Jesus to those who are in need, so stay tuned.   This one family that I work with, I allowed them to be able to go to church. So I stay with their daughter, and while I’m with her, I just prop up my Chromebook, first of all, I knew she loved the music, so I thought, well, she’s just gonna be really entertained with that. And she is. But then she sits wide awake through the whole sermon and listens to Lawson. I just love it, because typically, I mean, I read her a book or a story and she can fall asleep. Nope, she is 100% wide awake, taking it all in. You can tell when she’s getting something just by the expressions on her face, they light up. You can’t hide it. They just light up.

 

  Praise the Lord, we’re back. And we’ve been sharing on the ministry, miracles, missions. We’ve been talking about all these things this week. I get them all mixed up how we’re sharing it. But hallelujah, we talked about how we do it. We’re sharing the gospel, we’re sharing the good news of Jesus, what he’s done for us. This is the ministry of every believer according to 2 Corinthians 5. We talked about how He changes who you are in Christ. You receive a brand new identity in Christ. We talked about this good message. We talked about authority, that we’ve got authority in the name of Jesus. He didn’t send us out like paupers. He called us ambassadors. And then we talked about, we go as ambassadors in the power of the Holy Spirit. Man, if I wouldn’t have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you would’ve never heard about Lawson Perdue. You know, I grew up in a traditional church. I grew up in a church. They said we believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. But it’s really the Father, the Son, and the Holy Who, because we never taught about the Holy Spirit. We never talked about the baptism of the Holy Spirit where you pray in the Holy Spirit. We never taught about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We prayed for people to be healed, Lord, if it be your will, that is a stupid prayer, because we know the will of God is healing because Jesus paid for our healing at the same time he paid for our forgiveness of our sin. And we know it’s not God’s will than any parish, but all come to repentance. Jesus took stripes for our healing, just like he took our infirmities and bear our sicknesses, The Bible says, so it’s in the same scripture, he did it the same time. And he finished the work, the Bible says, by whose stripes you were healed. It’s already, Isaiah 53 5. He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him. And with his stripes, by his stripes we’re healed. 1 Peter 2:24, who His own self bear our sin in his body that we being dead descent should live under righteousness. By whose stripes you were healed. You know, Psalm 103:3, he forgives all of our iniquities. He heals all of our diseases. So we see healing and and forgiveness of sin tied together. James 5, if there’s any sick among you, let them call for the elders of the church. Let them anoint them at the oil in the name of the Lord. Pray the prayer of faith and they shall be healed. And he says, and if they have committed sins, they shall be forgiven. Forgiveness and healing, Isaiah 53:5. Psalm 103:3, Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24, James 5, I mean, it’s everywhere. Mark 2, the paralytic that was let through the roof. Your sins are forgiven so you’re healed. Matthew 9, it’s all over the scripture. It’s amazing how people can be so ignorant of what the scripture says, but it’s the Holy Spirit that gives us revelation of the scripture. And so I went to this Bible study. My mom prayed for me and said “God, Lawson is impossible. I can’t do anything with him at all. Could you please help me?” She took me to this Bible study. And when I was 14 years old, Andrew Wommack’s Bible study. He didn’t have a big ministry then. He wasn’t even in the radio when I started the Bible study. And he had six Bible studies in southeast Colorado and southwest Kansas. And I went to his Bible study. And in a short time after I went there, I received the baptism of Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I was called to preach. And you know what? God changed my life. And you know what? God is no respecter of persons. The Holy Spirit will change your life. It changed your life.

 

  How God anointed Jesus with a Holy Spirit and with power who went about doing good and healing all the were oppressed of the devil. You can tell that sickness and poverty, they’re not a blessing on these guys. Don’t get fooled by it. It’s just God is a good God, like you say, I got a very simple theology. God is good, the devil is bad, and also choose good. You choose who you gonna believe. So God is still, like you were praying, he’s the same Jesus, the same yesterday, today, and forever. He’s still compassionate. He was compassionate on the earth. From heaven he’s still compassionate, but now he does it through his body. So now we are proclaiming this good news. We’re sounding the trumpet saying God is good, the devil is bad, we have authority, and you can be healed today. And don’t be playing around with, is it your will? Well, if Jesus was the will of God in action, and now his body is the will of God in action, so don’t even try to, just like…

 

  How many people came to Jesus to receive healing and he said “It’s not my will, stay sick”?

 

  None.

 

  None.

 

  But how many times does it say in the Gospels and in the New Testament he healed them all? 14 times. So Jesus proves the will of the Father. He told Philip, “If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father.” John 1:18, no man has seen God at any time, but the only begotten son who’s from the bosom or the heart of the Father, he has revealed him. So when you see Jesus, Jesus expresses who God is. God said in Exodus 15:26 “I am the Lord who heals you. I am Jehovah Rafa. Then he says in Malachi 3:6, I’m the Lord and I change not. So He is the Lord who heals us. And he’s the Lord who does not change. So he always is the Lord who heals us. And Jesus proves that in his ministry. Not only did Jesus heal the sick, right, but then Jesus paid for our healing when he died on the cross. Now the Holy Spirit, God promised it, Jesus paid for. And the Holy Spirit gives us the power to receive that healing in our own life, praise God. So the gospel is simple and it’s right there, praise God. I love the scripture you were sharing there in Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and power, who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed to the devil. The Father anointed the Son with the Holy Ghost. That’s the trinity. When you see the Trinity in unity, you find the power of God. He went about doing good and healing all, again, there’s one of the examples who were oppressed of the devil. Sickness is an oppression from the devil. The devil is the author of sickness. In Luke 13, there was a woman who had a issue of blood for I believe 18 years. She came to Jesus, she came to Jesus, and Jesus spoke the word over her and said “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity” And he healed her. Then he laid hands on her and he healed her. So he spoke the word to her. He laid hands on her. I may be a little bit wrong, but I believe I’m right. This is Luke 13. Then he healed her. And then after he did that, the religious people began to criticize him because he healed on the Sabbath day. And he said “Look, this woman who Satan has bound.” He said, “You guys water your cow, you water your donkeys on the Sabbath. Isn’t this woman who has a daughter of Abraham, she has a covenant right to be healed, shouldn’t she come on the Sabbath and be healed in her body?”

 

  That’s good news, pastor.

 

  And Jesus did this for her, praise God, and Jesus can do this. He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. And he’s still healing sick through the power of the Holy Spirit. And so we’ve been given the power of the Holy Spirit. We’re not orphans, we’re not on our own. We’re not by ourselves. It’s not by our power or holiness that we do this. That’s what Peter and John said, but in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, right? Get up your bed, go to your house and be healed. The lame man at the temple gate. And then he rose up and went walking and leaping, the miracle power of God. He was lame. He was over 40 years old. He had never walked. This is Acts 3. And they said, “Silver and gold, have I none.” Now the apostles had some money because the believers had sold their goods and laid the money at the apostle’s feet. But they left their wallets at home. It was nine o’clock in the morning, the third hour of the day. And they’re going to prayer. And this man’s sitting there begging for an arm. And Peter and John, Peter put out his hand. John put out his hand and said “Silver and gold, have I none, but in the name of Jesus, get up and walk.” And this man went walking and leaping and praising God. Hallelujah. It was a miracle. Immediately his ankle bones and his feet received strength. That was a working of a miracle. Healing comes, sometimes it’s a process, sometimes it’s a miracle. In this case, it was a miracle. But when they brought Peter and John in and threatened them and commanded them not to preach in the name of Jesus, or teach in the name of Jesus, they said “It’s not our power or our holiness. It’s by the name of Jesus that this man stands here whole before you all.” And his name, through faith in his name, has given this man perfect soundness before you all. And there’s only one name under heaven given whereby men must be saved. And that is the name of Jesus. They used everything as an opportunity to preach Jesus. Signs and wonders and miracles are just an opportunity for us to preach Jesus to those who are dying and hurting and in need. But Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And he’s still still doing the same works. Praise God. So we can go in the name of Jesus, we can see people healed. We can see people free. We can see people delivered. We can see people saved. We can see people filled with the holy in the name of Jesus.

 

  I love that. And I believe, pastor, that while we were speaking, I believe that a lot of people are getting healed because the Lord works with that word. I remember one time I went to preach in a church in Mexico, and there was a lady in the back, very skeptical. And I had the pastor give his testimony because he got healed from the back and he works as a domino effect. So anyway, she was “No no, I don’t know about this.” And while she was hearing the word, the Lord healed her from her knees. She had problems with her knees for a long, long time. And then later on she came and told me, and she said, “Even my marriage was healed” because the power of God is manifest where the love of God is preached, where the word of God is preached. So I believe, pastor, that right now, as we are speaking, as we are sharing the good news, I think the Holy Spirit is quickening people’s bodies and minds and there is deliverance all around.

 

  Receive the healing power of God. In your body right now, in the name of Jesus, receive, some of you’ve received. Move your knee around, move your hip around. Move your arm around your shoulder. Just receive the power of God. Receive he power of God in your body. I had a woman call in one time with a lump and one of my prayer minister prayed for her, and while he prayed for, he told her, “You lay hands on that lump” and she was healed when he prayed. So if you need prayer, you can call in right now and you can receive the power of God in your body Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And we have authority in the name of Jesus. Praise God. There’s nothing you need to do. Just believe it and receive it. Praise God. Hallelujah.

 

  Enjoy it. Enjoy this goodness. The Lord says “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” And I remember this lady saying “I just felt an intense heat.” I say “That’s the love of God warming you up to receive His gifts.” So you too there, receive it, like Pastor, we’re talking about the promises of God and your part is say amen. Oh, this is the way it is.

 

  Amen, just thank God for it. Some of you right now are receiving that right now. You’re receiving. You can feel the power of God flowing through your body. It’s the power of the Holy Spirit.
