In 1984 my husband and I began our exciting adventurous life together!  After farming and ranching for three years, we loaded up a moving truck and moved over 1,000 miles away from family and friends to go to Bible School.  I remember after closing and locking the doors on the moving truck, someone said we were going to go into the ministry and starve to death.

I’ve got good news!  We didn’t starve to death.  God has richly invested in you and me!  God’s desire is that all of us succeed in what we set our hands to do (Deuteronomy 28:12).

More than once we’ve had people think we would fail.  After starting 

our second church, Charis Christian Center a group of neighbors on our block came and visited our service.  We were all invited to brunch at one of the neighbor’s houses.  It was after we left that the neighbors all took bets that we would FAIL.  Hallelujah, they were wrong and thanks to the LORD we have much to REJOICE about!

GOD HAS INVESTED IN US!

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. . . For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Ephesians 2:4-6, 10

God has sent His best, His Son Jesus Christ to reconcile us back to Him and have a blessed life (John 3:16).  We are not cursed, because Jesus became the curse; exchanging places with us.

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.’).

Galatians 3:13

You and I are NOT FAILURES.  God has invested in us in Christ!
