When I was a young child I had a difficult time speaking, talking and communicating.  While in elementary classes I was put in a special class that was supposed to help me with my speech.

I don’t remember those classes or sessions helping at all.  Does anyone remember the TV show “Blinky’s Fun Club?”  When I was a preschooler I was a guest on this show with some of my friends.  During the show Blinky the Clown asked me what my name was. I didn’t respond or utter a word, because I COULD NOT EVEN PRONOUNCE MY OWN NAME.  My friend came to my rescue and answered for me.

There have been several things that caused a positive result for me. Firstly, reading my Bible!  Genesis 1:26 says, “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness . . .” I came to an amazing conclusion; I’m made in God’s Image.  I am intelligent because He is.  I will TRUST HIM to help me communicate.

Secondly, there is another scripture that just blessed me so much; blasting me upwards like a rocket!

“But you shall receive POWER when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be WITNESSES TO ME in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Acts 1:8

It isn’t about me, it is about HIM!  I had been told I was shy.  We do not have a spirit of timidity, a spirit of fear, but power and SOUND MIND!  (II Timothy 1:7).  When we receive the Holy Spirit He gives us the power to witness.  It is a fire that can not be quenched.

The Holy Spirit will teach us what to say – hallelujah!

“Simply be confident and allow the Spirit of Wisdom access to your heart, and he will reveal in that very moment what you are to say.”
