They are present-tense realities available to every believer who will receive them by faith.

In John 10 Jesus declares, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” His sheep know His voice. That voice is the voice of love, truth, and life. When you follow it you receive His provision and His protection. You are kept by His blood, by His Spirit living in you, by the authority of His name, and by the truth of His Word.

The final message turns the focus outward. Jesus is the Chief Shepherd, yet He calls every believer to care for the people He places in their lives. Feed them the Word. Live as an example. Walk in humility. Cast every care on the Lord and resist the devil. When you do these things you become a faithful under-shepherd under the Great Shepherd.
